PANASONIC NV-GS330

Mini-DV, tri-CCD, 1024x576 resolution. Colors rendering too saturated, good sensibility under low light. Mounted with an additional 0.5 wide-angle, it mostly lacks a mic-in plug... I've made one on my own but the acoustic impedance doesn't match and the sound level is too low.

CANON HV40

Mini-DV + HDV, CMOS cpator. Progressive 1920x1080 resolution. Poor sensibility under low light. Mounted with an additional 0.7 wide-angle, its main strengths are the mic-in plug and the picture quality.

GOPRO HERO2

Extreme sports on-board camera. Records in MP4 format up to 1920x1080 using an SD card. Very good device, its strong strength is obviously the amazing view angle of 170° !!! Please note it does have a mic-in plug.

RHODE VIDEOMIC

I lack comparison points for it's my first external microphone. 2,5mm jack plug, lockable on an accessory shoe, 9V battery. Average quality. Directional microphone.

Stabilizer

I'm dreaming of owning a steadycam... but one can't have everything ! So as a workaround I built a little home-made stabilizer.

Camera crane

I'm dreaming of a Louma Supertechno 50 as well... Thus I've made a testing one !
6 meters aluminium-made pole, body rotating around a big ball bearing (from an old car), motorized head using two servomotors, video feedback on a 10-inches LCD monitor. The pole is not telescopic.
